Cookies Policy
Effective 5 October 2026 · The cookies and on-device storage tee-time.uk uses, and how to control them.
This Cookies Policy explains how Bednal Limited (company number 12582198) ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on tee-time.uk (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser's local storage, IndexedDB and the cache a website's service worker keeps so the app works offline. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations ("PECR") cover all of them in the same way, so this Policy lists them all.
2. Your choices
- Strictly necessary storage is always on. The Service cannot sign you in, take a booking, process a payment or remember a setting you chose without it, so the law does not require your consent for it.
- Analytics and Advertising cookies are only used if you opt in. Nothing in these categories is set, and no Google analytics or advertising script is loaded, until you choose "Accept all" or switch the category on under "Manage".
- "Reject all" is always available next to "Accept all". You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent we delete the Google cookies we can reach and reload the page without the Google scripts.
- We keep your choice in the
tt_consentcookie for six months, after which we ask again. We also ask again if we add a new kind of non-essential cookie. - We keep a record of each choice (a random identifier, the categories you chose, the date and the version of this Policy you answered) so we can show that consent was given. That record holds no name, email address, account identifier or IP address, and is deleted after two years.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and booking from working.
The club booking widget we provide to golf clubs (widget.tee-time.uk) uses no analytics or advertising cookies at all and shows no cookie banner.

|---|---|---|---|
tee-booker:theme, tee-booker:nav-style | Local storage | Your theme and navigation-bar style. | Until you clear them |
mapsPreference, mapChipMode, searchSortBy | Local storage | Your map app, map label and sort preferences. | Until you clear them |

App shell, static-assets-v1, scorecard-pending-v1 | Service worker cache | Lets the installed app open offline and queues scorecard saves. | Replaced on each app update |
5. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes browsers so we can count visitors. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your visit (session). | 2 years |
tt:analytics:booking-confirmed:<id> | tee-time.uk (local storage) | Stops a confirmed booking being counted twice if you reload its page. | Until you clear it |
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features are used: for example that a search was run, a course page viewed or a booking confirmed, with the booking value. We never send your name, email address, phone number, precise location or booking references to Google. Page addresses are sent without their query strings, and personal identifiers in addresses are replaced with placeholders. Google Signals and ad personalisation in Analytics are only switched on if you also accept Advertising cookies.
6. Advertising cookies (only with your consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Links a visit to the Google ad that brought you, so we can tell whether our ads lead to sign-ups and bookings. | 90 days |
_gcl_aw, _gcl_gb | Google Ads | Store the ad click identifier when you arrive from a Google ad. | 90 days |
Google may also set or read its own cookies on google.com and doubleclick.net domains for these purposes. We do not use Google's "enhanced conversions" (sending a scrambled copy of your email address), and we do not run remarketing lists.
7. Google as a recipient
Where you opt in, Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC receives the information described above. Google acts as our processor for Analytics measurement and as an independent controller for some advertising purposes; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google may transfer data to the United States under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We use Google Consent Mode in its "basic" form: the Google tag is not loaded at all unless you opt in, so nothing is sent to Google before or without your consent.
8. Changes
If we change the cookies we use in a way that needs your consent again, we will update this Policy, increase its version number and ask you again through the cookie banner.
